Subject: Participation in TRAVEX Exhibition, Ha Long Bay, Vietnam

Placed below please find an email received from Ministry of Tourism, Government of India regarding TRAVEX Exhibition from 16th to 18th January 2019 at Ha Long Bay, Vietnam. On the side lines of TRAVEX, the Indian Embassy in Hanoi is also organising B2B interaction for the travel trade representatives from India with the travel trade representatives and the members of the Buddhist Sangha in Hanoi on 14th January 2019 at 1200 noon. The participation in the B2B event is without any fee.

As regards the co- exhibitor badge, we have been informed by the Ministry that registration has to be done through India Tourism, Singapore. The estimated cost of Exhibitor badge is USD 450 per co -exhibitor. However, no separate space will be provided and members can do the business from India stand.   

However, members can participate in B2B in Hanoi on 14th January 2019 free of cost even without participation in Travex Exhibition .

Sir,

As you are aware The year 2019 has been designated as ASEAN India Tourism Year and IATO has also developed special itineraries for the same.  The ASEAN India Tourism year will be launched on 18th January 2019 in Ha Long Bay, Vietnam , during the ASEAN Tourism Forum Meeting.

The ASEAN Tourism Forum is being held in Halong Bay, Vietnam from 15th to 18th January 2019.  As part of this event, the India Tourism Office in Singapore is participating in the TRAVEX Exhibition from 16th to 18th January 2019 by taking a booth space.  Ministry of Tourism has proposed participation of inbound Tour Operators from India in the TRAVEX Exhibition.  It is requested that you may kindly request the members (max. 15) to participate in this exhibition.  

On the sidelines of TRAVEX, the Indian Embassy in Hanoi is also organising B2B interaction for the travel trade representatives from India with the travel trade representatives and the members of the Buddhist Sangha in Hanoi on 14th January 2019 at 1200 noon.  The participation in the B2B event is without any fee.  This information may also be shared with your members.

It is requested that the names of interested IATO members may be sent to the undersigned at the earliest so as to inform the Indian Embassy in Hanoi and India Tourism Singapore.  The participants of TRAVEX Exhibition will, however, have to register for the Co-Exhibitors badge.
