MOU BETWEEN
IATO AND NATO |
Nepal
Association of Tour Operators (hereinafter
referred to as NATO) and Indian Association
of Tour Operators (hereinafter referred to
as IATO ) both non governmental and non
profit making organisations with a view to
promote tourism in both countries as well as
share IT information on tourism , express
their interest to work together and also to
develop and implement programmes and
projects for mutual benefits have agreed as
follows : -
NATO and IATO will exchange information and
suggestions for the enhancement of travel
trade industry on reciprocal basis.
NATO and IATO will cooperate and support
each other for organising , training ,
workshop, seminars and promotional
activities towards the development of travel
trade industry. Both organisations agree to
develop and implement such programmes in
close cooperation with prior approval of
both organisations
NATO and IATO will provide tourism promotion
materials of their members and national
tourism organisation for distribution to
their respective members and other
interested travel agencies , tour operators,
hotels, airlines and other individuals.
NATO and IATO will work as a facilitator and
liaison for any activities related to
tourism promotion in both countries on
reciprocal basis such as organising cultural
programmes , food festivals , press meets,
sales mission , travel marts , exchange
visit of their members with tour operators,
hteliers , travel agencies and other related
agencies. Both organistions agree to develop
such programmes in close cooperation.
NATO and IATO have agreed to provide quality
service to their customers on reciprocal
basis and will give priority and special
privilege to each others members on
reciprocal basis.
NATO and IATO will jointly promote tourism
inter-regionally wherever possible.
This Memorandum of Understanding is entered
on Saturday,, the 5th May 2001 at New Delhi.
