Dear colleagues,
Sub: Registration of Tour Operators, Travel Agents, Transport Operators with the Delhi Government
This is in continuation to our earlier communication/circulars on the subject. The Tourism Department, NCT of Delhi has issued directives through the news published in Times of India dated 10th June, 2011. A copy of the same is attached for your information which is self explanatory.
Some of the guidelines for obtaining the license are as under:-
- Revised application form can be obtained from the office of Deputy Secretary (Tourism), Govt. of National Capital Territory of Delhi, Tourism Department, Vikas Bhawan-II, 2nd Floor, C-Wing, Upper Bela Road, Near Metcalfe House, Delhi- between 10 am to 1 pm. Form will be available on the website delhi.gov.in also (presently the form is not available on the website).
- Every person firm/company can operate such business only if they have a valid license from the Tourism Department, Govt. of NCT of Delhi.
- The duration of the license which was earlier for one year, has now been made valid for 5 years.
- The fee for the license and renewal thereafter would be Rs. 5000/- for five years. Bank draft of Rs. 5000/- to be made in the name of Principal Secretary (Tourism), Govt. of NCT of Delhi.
- Besides the license fee, a security amount of Rs. 10000/- to be paid in the name of Principal Secretary (Tourism), Govt. of NCT of Delhi. (Separate cheque to be made)
- All our members who have already submitted the application form with fee of Rs. 2000/- can now pay the difference of Rs. 3000/- by the bank draft in the name of Principal Secretary (Tourism), Govt. of Delhi and there license would be made valid for 5 years.
- All the existing Tour Operators/Travel Agents/Excursion Agents/Tourist Transport Operators should apply on or before 31 August 2011 to avoid any action under the act.
